Something I wrote is in a Magazine!

Yes, I’m now famous. Don’t worry, there are plenty of autographs to go around.

One of my very cool friends, Anna, recently did an internship at Adventist Review magazine. Part of her duties were to find her own writers and edit their pieces for publication, and she asked me if I would write something for her.

The article was part of a series explaining Seventh-Day Adventist fundamental beliefs, so I had to choose which fundamental belief I wanted to write about. Before we moved, my church in North Carolina did a Wednesday evening class on spiritual gifts which I thoroughly enjoyed, so that was my go-to topic. I’ve never written anything formal about religion before, so tracking down the relevant Bible verses and wrestling them into relevant places was interesting. Anna’s edits on my rough draft made it at least 5x better, though, so she’s to thank for the article being in good enough shape to be accepted for publication.

That’s not all, though! Because of this, my name was mentioned on TV. Yes, I’m that cool.
