I’m now on my third charger for the laptop I bought two years ago. I don’t enjoy spending more money on chargers, but after a few days, not having a computer to use gets old.
I have a very cool aunt who does cake decorating in addition to her job. Go look at her pictures.
While visiting family this summer, she was preparing to go to Nicaragua on a mission trip to teach a group of women how to decorate cakes. She wanted to get some practice, so my brother, mom, grandmother and I all got a free first lesson!
I had fun using her fancy icing tips. Also, I love cake, so cake decorating is basically the coolest skill ever to me.
When I got home I looked for some cheap decorating kits. Which probably isn’t a good investment, but I found some and started messing around.
I should probably figure out how to make the smooth parts smooth. And how to make cakes for real instead of using box mix. But I did make my own icing! And it was fun and it tasted good, so that’s enough.
My next baking project is going to be lemon meringue pie cupcakes, which will probably be a disaster. If you’re interested in seeing one picture every couple of months or so, you can follow my instagram.
