While searching for this, I realized I’d completely forgotten that Joseph: King of Dreams existed. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it? I must have seen it at some point in my life. Weird.
That’s not what I watched today. Today I watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and continued to wonder what exactly Andrew Lloyd Webber was on. Whatever it was, it must have been a lot of fun.
I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was fun and colorful and that’s really all I was expecting. I will say that the part with Potiphar was completely unexpected and I really had no idea how to deal with it when I was watching it. But mostly it was fine. I really liked Elvis Pharaoh especially.
Also, while watching I just imagined that when Sitler and Strong were getting together to decide how to do their Joseph play for Oshkosh, they thought of this show and thought ‘well, not like that.’ (This is obscure, I know. An inside joke for the Pathfinders.)
