This is the first one I didn’t finish on the right day. I got 3/4 of the way through and then I was too sleepy to continue, so I finished it this morning.
I think I just didn’t get it. It wasn’t horrible, just…. very hippie (not bad) and the music always felt oddly situated. Half the time it wasn’t being sung by the characters, so I felt like I didn’t understand how it fit with the story. Not bad, but not super engaging to me.
I did watch the movie version and not the stage version, though, and according to wikipedia there are some differences. Maybe I’d like that better?
[[Spoilers]] Also, a question: how did he manage to just infiltrate the army like that. How’d he get his own name on the tombstone if he was impersonating someone else. Would the military let him just stay there. I don’t understand this.
