It’s been so long since I saw this movie I’d basically forgotten everything about it. Honestly, I wasn’t that excited about watching it, but I had to be prepared for Mary Poppins Returns (December 2018!) because Lin-Manuel Miranda is in it so you know I’m watching it.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, actually! I know it’s a classic, but sometimes classics aren’t that much fun to watch. This one was very funny and Julie Andrews is the best always.
Rhys (7 years old) stuck around to watch some of the beginning with me, and my favorite part was that he made the exact same expressions as the kids in the movie when Mary Poppins pulled all the huge things out of her bag. (We all agree that she’s a time lord, right? She’s a time lord.)
Next up: The Greatest Showman! (For real this time!)
